In a world filled with chaos and brokenness, there are people throughout America who are unaware of Jesus’ existence and that His words are the source of peace, joy, and love. Others know of Him but choose to reject Him and the Gospel. Still others are hurting or confused, causing them to search for answers.
“God, are you real?” Blake* cried out desperately as he began driving home to his wife and two daughters. He had found an old playlist on his phone, and the song “Great are you, Lord” began playing. As he drove and listened to the song, a large billboard loomed ahead. It said, There is evidence for God.
Blake had grown up in a church setting, but for the first time, he was doubting God’s existence. Because of addictions, lying, paranoia, and verbal abuse, his marriage was falling apart. His wife had just requested a 7-day separation. Feeling powerless and in despair, he dialed the toll-free number on the billboard. Blake received encouragement and guidance from a CAM phone team member. They kept in touch over the next several days. Blake realized that if he wanted to fix his marriage, it had to start with him. Blake agreed to get his own copy of the Bible and start reading God’s Word again. He began attending church and is learning the importance of leaning on God.
Many marriages are in crisis across America. Pray that marriages and homes like Blake’s would be healed with love and restored by hope in Jesus.
