Food for Nigerians affected by coronavirus

Coronavirus restrictions brought hunger and sorrow to many Nigerians. Widows, orphans, and the elderly are especially vulnerable during these hard times. CAM is providing food for Nigerians affected by coronavirus.

Food brings hope

Elizabeth struggled to pay her rent after the lockdown was enforced. As a result, she was evicted from her apartment several times. She felt utterly alone and forsaken. Elizabeth said, “Living in the city center can give the wrong impression and people may think you are okay when you’re really not.”

Hope filled Elizabeth’s heart when she received a food parcel from our contacts. It touched her deeply to know that other believers care about her plight and want to help.

Abeo, an elderly man who is partially blind and deaf, was also encouraged when he received food from CAM. He choked up with emotion as he shared his gratitude. “You people are the first in years to come visit me in my condition,” he shared. “The fact that you are from different churches and tribes is a testimony to the unifying impact of the Gospel.”

“What a wonderful gift you have brought us!”

Our contacts traveled nearly impassable roads to deliver food to an orphanage. When they arrived, the orphanage director exclaimed, “For five years we have not tasted acha!* What a wonderful gift you have brought us. Children, we now have our own acha!” His words were echoed by thunderous shouts of joy from the children and caregivers.

This aid is only possible through our generous supporters! The needs during these challenging times are staggering. Thank you for providing food for Nigerians and many other impoverished people affected by coronavirus.
