The Robertsons* are deaf, but they didn’t need hearing to feel the gale-force winds and see the EF-3 tornado as it tore across the Oklahoma landscape. As the couple rushed away in their van, the fierce winds of the tornado lifted them off the road. Just then, a tree fell on top of the van, pinning it down and keeping them from being carried away. One of the branches punctured the van’s roof, barely missing the driver.
A friend of the couple commented that it was amazing to see how many small miracles happened during the tornado amidst the devastation.
The storm flattened and ripped apart the Robertsons’ home and many other homes in the town of Sulphur. In the following days, Rapid Response team members helped them and other homeowners salvage possessions and clean up their properties.
Please pray for this couple and the many others in the area as they pick up the broken pieces and start over.
