Many people in Eastern Europe grow vegetables and fruit to sell for some income. If they had a tiller to cultivate their rich cropland, many of them could increase their production. A family who has a tiller can provide tilling services for others in their village. A tiller works better than a tractor on steep hillsides, and helps families to more efficiently provide for themselves.

*In some cases, our recipients need a larger commercial-grade tiller to raise produce or start a tilling business. In those cases we may use funds from several supporters to purchase a larger tiller for $2,000-$3,000.
