Tsira was only 30 years old when her husband passed away unexpectedly. She lives in the country of Georgia, which is located in southeastern Europe. Life was difficult for Tsira and her two young children. “We were left without means of support. I raised my children in great poverty,” Tsira reminisced.
Time went on, and Tsira’s children got married and started their own families. Life was a little easier for Tsira, now that she had only herself to support. But recently, Tsira suffered yet another loss when her son passed away suddenly. “The loss of my son was a double blow for me. Now I live with my daughter-in-law, and we are raising three fatherless children. We live in great need,” Tsira told our contacts.
“Many nights I woke up thinking about what I would feed the children in the morning,” she shared. “With tears, I prayed to God for help because it was painful to see my hungry grandchildren. We were going through very difficult times.”
Once again Tsira’s life changed, this time by the gift of chicks. “God’s people brought us chicks,” she rejoiced. “What surprised us even more was that along with the chicks they also brought good quality feed!” How glad Tsira and her family were for these chicks!
“Words cannot describe the joy of seeing my grandchildren smile again,” Tsira told our contacts. “Your help showed us there are still kind and caring people in the world. Now we look to the future with hope and believe that together many things can change.”
