Changing Haiti’s landscape

Beautiful greenery is slowly replacing some of the brown, barren hillsides of Haiti. The trees that they chopped down years ago for a quick cash crop of charcoal had left the Haiti’s landscape barren and prone to soil erosion. Now, small trees from CAM’s nursery in La Source, Haiti, are gradually changing some barren hillsides to healthy vegetation. “These are the first trees I’ve seen in this area!” one sixty-year-old man said.
