Concho’s day begins while the rest of the Nicaraguan city sleeps. Around 1:00 in the morning, he makes his way to the local market to unload trucks. He transports goods with a handcart, working as opportunities arise.
The tiny 10’ x 10’ house that Concho, his wife Maritza, and their three children called home barely provided adequate shelter and space for them. The tin walls offered little protection from the heat, rain, and storms.
Thanks to God and funds from supporters, House for a Poor Family provided materials and labor to build a new house for Concho and his family. When a CAM staff member came back for a visit, one of the children excitedly told her mother, “The men from heaven are coming!”
