Flooding in western Ukraine

The torrential rains that swept into western Ukraine this summer created the worst flooding this area has experienced in a decade. In only two days, the region received nine inches of rain that caused flash flooding. Rivers spilled over and washed out bridges, dams, and roads, making some villages inaccessible. Floodwaters damaged at least 5,000 homes, as well as many people’s gardens, which are an important source of food for Ukrainians.

CAM is working to provide food parcels for families who lost homes, possessions, or gardens in this flooding. We also plan to distribute Christian literature to share Christ’s love with Ukrainians in this time of difficulty.
