Stalica was part of a wild, ruthless group of thugs in Romania. When he drank alcohol, he became self-destructive. Police were cautious when working with Stalica and his friends due to their harsh behavior.
But God had a plan for this group of lawbreakers. The first one came to the Lord while still in prison. The second one gave his life to the Lord on his deathbed. The third man, Stalica, followed his wife’s example and cried out to God for forgiveness.
After becoming believers, Stalica and his wife began looking for godly ways to provide for themselves. Jericho Road Program staff realized this family’s need and began placing food parcels on Stalica’s doorstep each month. When witnessing Stalica’s sincerity in his new walk with the Lord, staff members gave him a horse and other aid to help him support himself. They also provided Stalica with some materials to build a little prayer chapel in his backyard for friends and neighbors to use freely. Please pray for Stalica and his wife as they continue to seek Jesus and walk in newness of life. The Jericho Road Program ministers to Gypsy communities in Romania by providing food parcels and other assistance. It also meets spiritual needs, as staff members hold Bible studies and marriage seminars.
