What does love look like? It has the hands to help others. It has the feet to hasten to the poor and needy. It has eyes to see misery and want. It has the ears to hear the sighs and sorrows of men. This is what love looks like.”

–Saint Augustine

For the past 10 years, Odilia in Nicaragua has lovingly cared for her 51-year-old son Luis who is disabled. A former math teacher, Luis lost control of the left side of his body after several surgeries to remove a brain tumor.

“Who would take care of Luis if I couldn’t?” says Odilia who is growing old and feeble herself and yet continues to serve as her son’s full-time caretaker. Tears come to her eyes as she tells of the Lord’s goodness and mercy—not because life has been easy, but because God has provided.

One way Odilia’s task is made a little easier is through adult disposable briefs from CAM. Although adult briefs are available for her to buy in Nicaragua, paying 65 cents per brief is impossible on an income of $2 a day.

Adult briefs are critically needed almost anywhere in the world where CAM works. Although we sometimes receive donated briefs, funds are needed to acquire them and ship them overseas. Thank you, supporters, for helping to ease the load of caretakers who have limited resources in caring for their disabled loved ones.

We receive multiple truckloads of donated adult briefs each year. Although these items are donated, we have substantial procurement and freight costs.
