War in Iran

CHAOS SPREADS ACROSS THE MIDDLE EAST

The war in Iran is spreading chaos across a wide swath of the Middle East. The death toll is mounting daily; most deaths are in Iran, but some also in Lebanon, Israel, and other countries. Over 100,000 people are estimated to have fled Iran’s capital, Tehran; more than 300,000 have been forced from their homes in Lebanon, and 30,000 have crossed into Syria from Lebanon. We expect these numbers to increase.

The people of Iran, with one of the highest food inflation rates in the world, at 105 percent, face increased hardship. In Israel, the Health Ministry reports that nearly 1,500 people have been evacuated to hospitals since the start of the conflict; mostly from running to bomb shelters.

Christian Aid Ministries has reliable contacts throughout the Middle East and is researching needs and opportunities with them.

Should you wish to help in this time of need, your support will be greatly appreciated.
