When the power is off or someone’s home is damaged or destroyed, it means a lot to them to be able to get a hot meal. The Loaves & Fishes Food Kitchen, operated by the New Order Amish churches, sets up in disaster areas of the U.S. Loaves & Fishes ministers to people by providing delicious meals, lending a listening ear, praying with suffering people, and distributing Christian literature.
We were waiting in line to receive our food, and when all of you began to sing my heart got so big, I began to cry. At that moment, you all sounded like “angels” and I knew everything was going to be alright. I will never forget all of you and what you do and did for us.
