The last decade brought a dramatic increase of displaced people around the world. The number of people who fled their homes due to conflict, famine, and persecution nearly doubled from 40 million to more than 80 million. Refugees in the Middle East, Bangladesh, and other places seek safety for themselves and their families. Innocent people—parents, children, and the elderly—have fled their homes with few belongings. Many refugees depend entirely on the mercy of others.
Supporters’ funds provide help like food, emergency aid, and Christian literature to refugees and other people impacted by conflict and other causes of displacement.
