Liberian  widow Nyowah catches fish to sell to buy food for herself and her grandchildren who live with her. Nyowah struggled to meet her family’s financial needs after her husband died. She moved from a remote Liberian village to a community that shows kindness toward her. The town chief graciously gave Nyowah a piece of land to live on, but she could only afford a small shelter with little protection from the elements.

After

Recently, caring neighbors joined together to purchase items for a new house and mix mud to plaster the walls. The community nearly accomplished its goal of completing the house but fell short of the money needed to purchase material for the roof. Nyowah was grateful when CAM provided the tin to finish the house. A Liberian staff member shared, “The family is very happy to have a secure place to live.”
