This Romanian family received Project Good Samaritan funds to help pay the mother’s medical treatment.

Lifting Financial Burdens

In poverty-stricken countries, medical emergencies, house fires, or other unexpected crises often leave families and individuals destitute and without a way to cover their expenses.

Marian, a Romanian father of eight, struggles with liver and colon issues. He needs ongoing treatment but cannot pay for it with only a small child allowance and occasional income. Lacrimioara is an older Romanian widow living off a pension of $3 a day. She struggles with heart-related problems but cannot afford the needed treatment.

Project Good Samaritan provided funds to help Marian and Lacrimioara with their medical expenses. Through this program, love and care are shown to people in Liberia, Romania, Haiti, and other countries.

If you wish to help with medical expenses and other pressing needs our field staff and contacts encounter, please note Project Good Samaritan on the enclosed response coupon or sponsorship sheet. Donors of $2,500 or more will be assigned to a specific case(s) and will receive information about someone who was helped. We face an ongoing funding deficit for this program, which is a favorite of many of our field staff.
