Madam Cynthia started a small garden at her home in Bunbon, Ghana last year. She grows produce like okra, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, and ayoyo, a leaf used in soups and other dishes. She was inspired to plant her own garden after learning about soil management in her SALT Agri-Plus group, which she joined over two years ago. This group has learned to look at God’s creation as a guide for improved farming methods like composting and fertilizing.
Madam Cynthia thanks God for the vegetables she is growing in her garden. Now she can save the money she used to spend on vegetables for other things her family needs. She also has enough produce to share with her neighbors. Her joy and words of thanks to God reveal her gratitude.
