In early June, CAM’s Pennsylvania Search & Rescue team was called to help find a missing elderly man
with dementia who had wandered off. At 9:00 p.m. team members began searching, both on foot and
later with a drone. Although they searched all night in woods and fields, Mr. Smith* remained missing.
At 7:00 a.m., just as the team was preparing to get some sleep, he was spotted by a team member flying a drone. He was alive, but was cold and unresponsive. He needed immediate medical attention and likely
wouldn’t have lived much longer. “Praise God for leading us to him in time,” a team member rejoiced.
Search & Rescue’s purpose is to bring the lost home. We pray their hurting souls can find refuge in God’s tender arms.
