A Gift in the Morning

A clear, crisp Romanian morning dawns as the Spocolanta family awakes. It is another typical day in this Gypsy house. The problem is, it isn’t their house; it’s their neighbor’s house where they’ve been living since their home is not in livable condition. Although the morning air carries a chill, several of the family’s five young children are outdoors in their bare feet. Their father doesn’t have a reliable job, so the little family only manages to scrape by.

The typical morning takes a twist when a group of visitors approaches the Spocolanta home, toting an Adopt-A-Family food parcel. For this family, the food parcel brings a touch of hope, stability, and comfort to their unsettled lives.

Adopt-A-Family food parcels support struggling families throughout Eastern Europe, Nicaragua, and the Middle East. If you would like to help, click the donate button to give a gift.
