At the close of a recent session at the Nicaragua Biblical Discipleship Center. One pastor shared, “I have been to many seminars but never one like you are providing. The Bible teaching is the pure Word of God.”
CAM’s Biblical Discipleship program started from a vision to help national church leaders grow in their personal walk with God and to expand their knowledge of Bible principles. In many parts of the world, Christ-centered teaching is rare. Even church leaders are often unaware of basic Biblical doctrines. The topics for three-week discipleship seminars in Nicaragua, Liberia, and Haiti focus on repentance, moral integrity, and church leadership.
Apostle Paul instructed Timothy: “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also” (2 Timothy 2:2). Equipping leaders with proper knowledge of God’s Word is a crucial part of advancing His kingdom.
“I learned that the grace of God is revealed in the Old Testament as well as in the New Testament.”
A group of men recently completed six three-week sessions at the Liberia discipleship center. Many of them made confessions after hearing the teaching. Some renounced covenants made with the demonic world. Others understood for the first time that Jesus is the Son of God. These men want to make things right with others and walk faithfully. The seminars are intense times for them to dig into God’s Word. Requiring a lot of sacrifice on their part to go through the whole series. Yet the brotherhood built among the attendees has a powerful effect upon their lives.
In Haiti, the discipleship center is currently unable to operate because of the political unrest, but nationals are anxious to have it reopened. Please pray that the political unrest would be resolved and that the discipleship center could soon be opened again. We have a waiting list of Haitian church leaders who wish to attend.
The need for sound Bible teaching in Nicaragua, Liberia, and Haiti remains strong. Pray for the national church leaders as they return to their churches and families and teach by word and example what they have learned.
This program has significant funding needs and we would be most grateful for your help.
