Vanuatu, a nation of islands off the coast of Australia, was devastated by a category 5 tropical storm on Saturday, March 14. Cyclone Pam is the worst natural disaster Vanuatu has experienced. Power lines are down, scores of villages are flattened, and roads are closed. Contact with the surrounding islands is very limited. Churches and relief workers are trying to provide aid to the thousands sleeping on the streets, but the needs are tremendous.

CAM is providing initial emergency aid through contacts in Vanuatu. These contacts work with churches to help the homeless, and will research the possibility of CAM providing further aid.
