The one-room house where Evelyn lived with her four children and two Ebola orphans was not always a shelter. When it rained, the room filled with rain and sewer water that overflowed from an open septic tank outside. Sometimes Evelyn and her children stood in knee-deep water all night because there was no dry place to sit down.

Since Evelyn’s husband died three years ago, and family members refused to help her after her decision to follow Christ, she had no one to come to her aid. But thanks to supporters, we were able provide a new home for Evelyn and her family. “God bless you,” says Evelyn.
