A bleak life of hardship has become a new but dreadful normal for Syrian refugees. Thousands are still waiting to return to their homes. CAM staff recently visited Turkey where they found a cattle barn lot crowded with tents. It was home to fifty refugee families.
“Conditions were extremely squalid with makeshift tarp structures thrown up, one against another,” wrote one of our staff members. “Children were barefoot and walking around on the mucky concrete. Some of the women took us inside the barn to show us how the roof leaks in on them.”
Please pray for refugees as they face the hardships of winter. Many of them live in cold, damp quarters. Supporters’ funds enable CAM to reach out into these bleak situations with aid and the love of Jesus.
