Hurricane Matthew brought disastrous flooding to parts of the Carolinas in mid-October. Some areas received as much as 24 inches of rain. In many areas of North Carolina it took a week for the waters to recede.

Lumberton, North Carolina
Our Loaves and Fishes Food Kitchen staff and volunteers have been serving hot meals to flood survivors in Lumberton, North Carolina.

Rapid Response teams are helping homeowners tear out soggy drywall and flooring before spraying for mold. They are also giving much needed words of encouragement, lending a listening ear, and praying with homeowners who need a reason to keep going.

Please keep the Rapid Response teams in your prayers, as well as the Loaves and Fishes Food Kitchen volunteers, as they minister to those affected by Hurricane Matthew.
