COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Crisis Care Project - See Current Needs

Adopt-A-Family was Christian Aid Ministries’ first program. It had its beginning in communist Romania when Christian workers secretly traveled throughout the country and gathered contact information of desperately poor Christian families. CAM, then called Christian Aid for Romania, sent parcels of food and other items to these families.

Years later, children of recipients are still contacting us to say thank you for the support they received during desperate times. Recently, a young woman from Romania who has now moved to the United States stopped by the CAM home office in Berlin, Ohio. She told us that when she was a child, her family received food parcels through the Adopt-A-Family program. In some cases, the parcels were late because of bad weather or other delays, and her mother earnestly prayed for the food to arrive. Their family depended on it.

Although communism fell in Romania nearly 30 years ago, many families still struggle to survive. Jobs are scarce. Parents work hard to provide, but the income doesn’t always reach around.

Your support is an answer to prayer for thousands of needy families, not only in Romania, but also in other parts of the world. These families often ask our staff to thank those who are supporting them in difficult times. On their behalf, “Thank you and God bless you!”

Monthly Sponsorship

YES, I intend to give monthly donations to help sponsor a needy family in Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, or the Middle East. I understand that $75 provides a 50-pound or larger parcel of food and healthcare items.
