Search and Rescue (SAR) teams have been involved in 14 incidents since the program was launched in June 2016. The morning of April 24, the Ohio team was deployed to West Virginia to help search for a missing elderly man with Alzheimer’s. The search continued over three days.

On the afternoon of the third day a special helicopter was called to join the search, and the body was located about 1.3 miles away in the mountains. Our team carried the body down off the mountain.

Paul Weaver reported, “It was a moving experience as we searched, prayed with family, and built relationships. Search and Rescue is a wonderful opportunity in witnessing for Christ in our homeland at a traumatic time for the family and community.”

Several agencies have expressed their appreciation for our teams’ organization, equipment, workability, and quality of personnel. “For this reason, they stated that they will definitely continue to use us going forward,” says Marcus Miller, Ohio SAR coordinator. “This is a testimony of our team members and their commitment to the vision of Search and Rescue.”
