Medical care for child in green.
This little girl got burned by hot water. B&W treatment is less painful than standard burn treatment, that often includes using a razor blade to cut off any dead tissue.

Spiritual Opportunities Through Medical Projects

In many communities throughout Africa, people live simple lives. But life gets complicated when unexpected health problems arise. If the local clinic does not have basic medication, minor infections can
become deadly. Sometimes these issues are a result of spiritual darkness or a lack of basic health practices.

Beya, a young mother of twins, had severe wounds that infected most of her right leg. In her remote village in the Congo, people believe her wounds were caused by curses. The initial wound on Beya’s leg was small, likely an insect or snake bite. Leaving her twins behind, Beya left her home and crossed a river to Zambia,
hoping to find answers to her problem. Someone took her to a witch doctor to seek a cure, but the wound
quickly grew much worse. But then she met Christians who reached out to her with love and compassion. Our staff member who treated her wounds could see the formation of poke holes the witch doctor had made
in her skin.

Beya was treated with B&W salve in an effort to get the severe infection under control. A few days later, she
developed chicken pox, which added to her misery. Our staff member, with the help of national nurses, faithfully applied B&W salve, changed bandages, and fed her a nutritious diet. As of September 24, Beya’s
leg is slowly healing.

The staff member caring for her said Beya will often ask for a bedtime prayer. “This is the real reason we are
here,” the staff member continued. “If we can continue to point her in this direction, she may find deliverance from the next curse and the witch doctor both.”

The medicines, nutritional supplements, and other supplies we deliver through Medicines for Multitudes
help equip doctors and nurses to give proper medical care along with spiritual teaching. Recipients are grateful for the medicines, but above all for the kindness and hope they receive.
