Update from the CAM Home Office

Dear supporters,

In mid-February, the CAM Board of Directors (eight men from supporting churches in various states) met at Penn Valley Christian Retreat. We are grateful for the oversight of our Board of Directors. During this multi-day meeting, some of our staff members presented project reports and budget requests for approval. They talked about God’s light shining into Afghanistan; the new CAM clinic in southern Haiti; the ongoing Hurricane Melissa rebuilding project in Jamaica; schooling for children in Lebanon, South Sudan, and Egypt; literature distribution around the world; and many other projects your support makes possible.

Following are a few updates you might find interesting:

We are monitoring the increasingly difficult situation in Cuba. Fuel blockades are creating severe hardships and an increasing food-related shortage.

The war in Iran has created chaos across a wide swath of the Middle East. Pray for the faithfulness of believers in these trying times. We have reliable contacts throughout the Middle East and are working through them to meet the needs in the region. To help with what we anticipate will be a large-scale project, see the Middle East Crisis page.

The Sponsor-an-Orphan program (now called Sponsor- A-Child in Need) has undergone various changes and enhancements. Sponsors will soon be contacted with an update, including a sponsorship price increase. Watch your mailboxes!

This year, we again have a huge need for kits around the world. It looks like we will have a shortage of hygiene kits and other kits. If you want to help with this need, contact our office at 330.893.2428 to request a free Projects You Can Do catalog for instructions.

Thank you for your ongoing support for the work. It is a blessing to partner with you in ministering around the world in the name of Jesus.
