In 2024, more than 295 million people faced acute levels of hunger.* Even though these are devastating statistics, many hungry people in many parts of the world are receiving food from your generous donations. Through World Hunger Fund, several food kitchens in South America are easing the hunger of children and adults alike.
One lady named Rosa who helps in a food kitchen in Venezuela said, “I feel that through every arepa [a flatbread made from ground maize] I deliver, I am giving a portion of God’s love. There is nothing more beautiful than seeing the gratitude in a mother’s eyes or the joy on the face of a child receiving their arepas.”
Franklin was a man who came to a food kitchen and heard about Jesus. He said, “I . . . received not only solid food, but also spiritual food through the message of the Gospel of Christ, which has transformed my life. I am free from the streets and the alcoholism in which I was immersed. Thank you all.”
