Photos from the deadly Turkey and Syria earthquakes

Millions of people in Syria and Turkey face the long-term effects of last week’s earthquakes. Incredibly, some people have been found alive after spending more than 200 hours under the rubble. Others meanwhile mourn their losses as they bury loved ones and wait for their bodies to be recovered. Turkish and Syrian authorities say the death toll is reaching 44,000.

We are working through contacts to provide food, blankets, coal, and other aid. Staff members on the ground continue monitoring the situation and connecting with contacts.

Following are some photos from the deadly Turkey and Syria earthquakes, to give a glimpse of the ruin and devastation that has affected so many lives.
