Trees support the environment in numerous ways. But in Haiti, many were chopped down for a quick cash crop. The loss of trees leaves much of the country barren and prone to soil erosion.

CAM’s Grow-A-Tree program seeks to reforest Haiti one tree at a time. We start various kinds of trees in a small nursery at La Source, Haiti, until they are ready to transplant. The trees are then passed on to needy families with teaching on how to care for them. Little by little, these trees help reforest some areas of Haiti.
