Normal life is only a distant memory for millions of Syrian refugees. The nine-year brutal civil war shattered their peaceful lives and ruined cities and homes. Families take refuge in neighboring countries and now live in makeshift homes and drafty tents. One staff member in the Middle East shared, “I don’t think we can imagine the turmoil of the decisions these families make in their search for peace and safety.”
